Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People and Culture professional to join our team at Calvary. As the People and Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialist support to our region, leading a small team and partnering with senior leaders on People and Culture matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic People and Culture advice and support across our hospitals, aged care facilities, and home care services.
  • Effectively manage a small People and Culture team, delivering exceptional service that demonstrates Calvary's values and a best practice approach.
  • Act as a point of escalation for People and Culture matters, conduct case management, and deliver on project/program implementation.
  • Manage system workflows in conjunction with the broader People and Culture team.
  • Proactively promote physical and psychological safety within the workplace.
  • Lead the creation and promotion of a positive workplace culture for all employees of Calvary through effective leadership, encouraging teamwork, and ensuring employees have opportunities for career development.
  • Manage reporting requirements for the regional People and Culture team and undertake analysis of data to effectively partner and inform decision making.
  • Lead significant organizational change programs, ensuring adherence to industrial instruments.
  • Participate in industrial negotiations with Calvary's National Industrial Relations team as required.
  • Manage and provide specialist advice relating to dispute and conflict resolution matters with employees, managers, and industrial associations.
  • Work closely with regional Executive teams to interpret employee engagement survey results and develop strategies to address improvement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and drive continuous improvement People and Culture initiatives.
  • Ensure positions are properly designed and fully described to align with the strategic direction of Calvary, in accordance with Calvary's HR delegation framework.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A passion for driving organizational culture and employee engagement.
  • Significant employee relations skills, including experience in the management of disciplinary and grievance processes, a strong understanding of industrial and legislative frameworks.
  • Demonstrated significant experience working in a similar role and industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of People and Culture professionals to achieve a high-performing and positive team culture.
  • Significant experience in driving organizational change programs to achieve strategic objectives.
