Positive Behaviour Support Team Lead

As a Positive Behaviour Support Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced behaviour support practitioners to deliver high-quality services that empower people living with disability.

This is a full-time role based in our office. You will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review client support strategies.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs. They will also possess strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards governing positive behaviour support.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure consistent service delivery to clients.
  2. Develop and oversee the implementation of client-specific behaviour support plans that promote positive behaviours and enhance quality of life.
  3. Provide expert guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to build their skills and capabilities.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review client support strategies.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or a related allied health discipline.
  • Extensive experience (minimum 2 years) in providing positive behaviour support to people with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards governing positive behaviour support.
