This is a key role for an experienced cybersecurity professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support on IT security projects, with a focus on improving the maturity of our IT environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a broad range of IT security solutions, including web and email services, networking, cloud environments, endpoint detection and response (EDR)/extended detection and response (XDR), data protection, mobile device management (MDM), identity and access management (IAM), and backup systems.
They will also be familiar with IT security frameworks such as the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST, and ITIL, and will ideally hold relevant certifications from organizations like ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, CompTIA, Microsoft, or IT security vendors.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in an IT security role
- Experience working with various IT security solutions, including web, email, network, cloud, endpoint, data protection, MDM, IAM, and backups
- Experience of IT security frameworks: ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST, and ITIL
- Strong skills in stakeholder management
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and deal with ambiguity and complexity
- Ability to identify and prioritize business needs, risks, and opportunities
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
