Job Title

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Category Development Manager to join our team. This role will play a key part in developing and executing category-specific strategies to drive business growth and align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category plans to drive mutual growth and align with company business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer teams, acting as a credible and objective partner.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of category plans and initiatives.
  • Lead and support range review processes, ensuring timely delivery of insights, data, and recommendations to optimize assortment.
  • Assist in the development and execution of promotional guidelines, ensuring alignment with category strategy and commercial goals.
  • Support the successful commercialization of new product launches through effective ranging, visibility, and promotional planning.
  • Analyse market, shopper, and performance data to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and develop an Assistant Category Manager, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement mindset.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years in category management or customer-facing roles within FMCG, retail, or pharmacy sectors.
  • Experience working within the pharmacy channel, including health & wellness categories.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with customers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and support commercial decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights and influence stakeholders.
