Residential Care Assistant

About this role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate domestic services assistant to bring joy to our residents' day. As part of our friendly and close-knit team, you will carry out a range of domestic tasks to maintain hygiene standards in a home-like environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean residents' rooms including ensuites, furniture and equipment as appropriate, and communal and administrative areas
- Maintain common living areas, hallways, and all other areas of the facility in a clean and tidy and safe condition
- Replenish cleaning liquids and materials while observing safety procedures
- Report stock shortages, breakages, building, equipment, or furnishing defects promptly to the manager
This is a part-time opportunity that requires flexibility and initiative. You will be working with a professional carpet cleaner and must have experience using this equipment.
About You:
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees, and volunteers
- You are patient, have common sense, and an understanding of client service
- You can operate with discretion and maintain complete confidentiality
