About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Midwife Data Coordinator to join our team at The State of Queensland. As a key member of our Women's Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of perinatal data collection and other women's health databases at our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate advanced midwifery knowledge and clinical experience with evidence from a range of sources to ensure accuracy of data input and interpretation.
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of data to assure figures meet quality standards.
  • Actively participate in the improvement of processes in relevant information systems.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of database systems, standards, definitions, and procedures.
  • Maintain data security along with sensitive information.
  • Comply with organisational policy, including the confidentiality & privacy of health-related information.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation as part of the continuous quality improvement cycle.
  • Ability to work independently and strong engagement skills to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, Midwifery Unit Manager, Midwifery Director, business teams and State networks.
  • Perform functions necessary to prepare data for analysis and transfer to state and national database including checking accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
