Job Title: Financial Operations Lead

This is a critical role in our organization, responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of all financial data and reports.

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Responsible for controlling the Profit and Loss statement (P&L) and Balance Sheet by applying technical accounting, risk management, and regulatory reporting knowledge.
    • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including quarterly and annual reports.
    • Review tax reporting function, including income tax and Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.
    • Forecast income tax, cash management, and fund distributions, identify any cash management risks, and present to the Financial Controller.
  • Regular review and analysis of property results presented by construction and project management teams and report any risks identified to the Financial Controller.
  • Prepare transaction memorandums with relation to technical accounting considerations for audit review.
  • Support business partners such as the fund team and internal project team.
  • Provide support with training and developing direct reports and other junior members of the team.
Policies and Compliance
  • Identify and assist with implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report risks in controls that would compromise statutory and fund compliance.
  • Ensure calculations are within the parameters of the fund.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) designation required.
  • Seven or more years of professional accounting experience.
  • Experience within the property, asset management, or fund sector desirable.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver the necessary outcome for the fund and business partners.
