About the Role

Job Description

The Property Services Team is responsible for delivering a safe and practical working environment for Treasury employees, providing a centre of expertise for property management.

  • Property services include property management, property-related procurement and contracts, domestic leasing, international leasing administration, financial management of property operating expense budget, strategic property planning, and mandatory Commonwealth reporting.
  • The team delivers support across a range of corporate governance, policy, and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Senior Property Officer is responsible for delivering a wide variety of services to ensure the Treasury tenancy is fit for purpose.
  • This includes managing major and minor assigned property fit-out projects, providing support to the Assistant Director in delivering strategic property planning and mandatory Commonwealth reporting.
  • The role also involves managing sub-contractors and the outsourced services provider contract, including performance management against KPIs and service level standards.
  • Oversight of facilities requests, provision of technical knowledge in specialist areas of property and facilities management functions, and development of asset/facilities management plans and programs are also key responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one property-related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience managing property, preferably within the Australian Government.
