Principal Power Systems Specialist

This challenging position involves leading the delivery of grid connection studies and technical analyses for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in power systems and experience with advanced modelling tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead complex grid connection studies using PSCAD, PSSE, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory software.
- Develop and optimize power systems models to ensure compliance with Australia's National Electricity Market (NEM) regulations.
- Conduct stability and load flow analyses to assess the integration of renewable assets into the grid.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on power systems analysis and documentation.
- Represent the engineering team in industry forums and contribute to the development of grid modelling standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in power system modelling, grid connection, and generator studies for renewables.
- Advanced knowledge of PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT, and grid connection frameworks in Australia (NEM, AEMO, NSPs).
