Support Worker for Older Australians

As a Support Worker with Anglicare at Home, you will provide vital support to older Australians living independently in their own homes.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Assisting with domestic duties and household chores
  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • Providing social support and encouraging engagement in social activities
  • Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming
  • Transporting clients to appointments, shopping and social outings
  • Offering respite - providing companionship to give carers a break

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker in Home Care or Disability
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community)
  • A valid NSW Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle for transporting clients
  • Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Vaccination against Covid and Flu
  • Fundamental computer and smartphone working knowledge
