The Insurance Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and improving member insurance outcomes. This exceptional role requires an experienced insurance professional who can transition our operations to a digital-first future state model.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimize insurance operations processes to drive efficiency.
- Provide expert guidance and coaching to team members on insurance product administration.
- Oversee the resolution of insurance incidents
- Support management in day-to-day insurance activities and business rule adherence.
- Act as the subject matter expert for projects involving insurance touchpoints.
- Collaborate with partners to implement changes to business rules.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to uplift processes and services.
About You:
- 5+ years' experience in life insurance (Group or Retail) at insurer, administrator or superannuation Trustee with demonstrated success in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of group insurance, including death cover, income protection, and TPD.
- Experience with incidents, transitions, or SFT, and corporate-sponsored super plans.
- Proven ability in stakeholder management and interacting with senior leaders.
- Willingness to challenge and question the status quo.
- Understanding of the latest insurance standards, legislation, and regulations.
- Change management experience.
- Strong communication skills and cross-team collaboration experience.
- Proven track record in operationalizing insurance product and legislative changes.
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing environment.
A Competitive Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits that matter and make a difference for our employees.
