Job Title: Strategic Intelligence Leader

The role of the Strategic Intelligence Leader involves leading a team responsible for developing and coordinating high-quality intelligence analysis to inform strategic, operational, and tactical planning and operations within a regulatory division.

This position requires effective leadership to manage the team consistently with statutory responsibilities and organisational policies. Key duties include:

  • Developing and implementing regulatory intelligence capabilities and products to support regulatory activities
  • Providing high-level intelligence analysis on complex and sensitive issues
  • Establishing and implementing effective communication systems
  • Delivering briefings and documentation to influence executive decision-making
  • Representing the organisation at meetings and forums

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in engaging with stakeholders, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to understand and communicate complex findings. They will also possess excellent organisational and communication skills, flexibility, and data and regulatory intelligence literacy.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strengths in leading a team, managing competing priorities, and ensuring quality assurance. They will also be able to work independently and as part of geographically dispersed teams.

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to self-manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including quality assurance
  • Flexibility to work independently and with geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong data and regulatory intelligence literacy and reporting skills
  • Understanding the role of data, intelligence, and information in modern regulatory agencies
  • Ability to manage, develop, and lead a team, including data and intelligence specialist staff
Notes

This is an irregular/intermittent term opportunity offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
