The role of an Electronic Surveillance Analyst is to deliver high-quality intelligence products that support operational priorities.
The successful candidate will work autonomously with minimal direction, utilizing advanced analytical methodologies to address specific investigative requirements or intelligence gaps.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational support in electronic surveillance analysis as directed by the Team Leader and operations teams.
- Maintain currency in the application of analytical methodologies such as discovery analysis, statistical analysis, anomaly analysis, and trend analysis.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge, applied tradecraft, and decision-making skills to deliver problem-focused solutions in response to operational priorities.
- Develop understanding of the scope of Electronic Surveillance Analysis within covert operations and how it contributes to the wider AFP.
- Contribute to data analysis, systems, and process development to build capabilities that derive valuable insights and inform key decision-makers.
- Australian Citizenship at the time of application.
- Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Completion of the Electronic Surveillance Analyst Foundations course or the ability to attain within 6 months of commencement.
- Ability to successfully complete an annual psychological screening specific to this position.
- Advanced data literacy with large and complex data sets.
- Experience contributing to team projects and contributing to strategic outcomes.
- Organising work, making sound decisions, and achieving outcomes.
- Communicating and working effectively with other people.
- Applying technical knowledge, expertise, and skills.
