Compliance Advisory Senior Leader Role

This role is a key part of our organization, enabling us to meet regulatory obligations and manage compliance risks effectively. The Senior Leader, Compliance Advisory will provide expert advice on financial services and credit laws, support compliance assessments, monitor risks and incidents, and ensure alignment with internal policies and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership of the Compliance Advisory team, ensuring training, support and engagement to achieve compliance and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain continuous improvement and compliance knowledge across the team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement compliance strategic objectives as per the Compliance Risk Management Framework (CRMF).
  • Assist in ensuring regulatory changes are implemented in a compliant manner, including review of policies, procedures, system changes, training, assessing impact on the risk profile, and implementation of controls.
  • Manage incident triage, identifying compliance related incidents and potentially reportable situations.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of compliance and/or risk management, with experience in retail banking or a recent background in financial services. They will be able to balance hands-on technical compliance work with strategic thinking needed to lead and embed compliance management across the organization.
