About the Role

The Payroll Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the timely payment of approximately 3,200 employees on a fortnightly basis, leading a team of five Payroll Officers in relation to day-to-day operations and providing specialist payroll advice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Payroll Officers with enquiries or issues that need escalation
  • Maintaining the payroll system
  • Updating employee records
  • Calculating and processing terminations, variations, salary increases, and back pays
  • Preparing superannuation and work cover deductions
  • Processing salary packaging through our external provider

About You

You have extensive end-to-end payroll experience within a large, complex organisation and the ability to lead a high-performing team. Key requirements include:

  • Understanding of payroll legislation and processes
  • Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and relevant legislation
  • Experience with payroll and time and attendance systems
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits
