Job Overview:

The Technical Officer (Equipment) role involves supporting procurement and sustainment activities for UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters.

This includes reviewing technical information, processing Technical Information Reports, and liaising with Aviation Standards and Maintenance Organisations.

Additionally, the role entails managing computer tools used for administration of Weight and Balance, performing Weight and Balance audits required by EMS procedures, and providing advice on changes to Ground Support Equipment and System and Technology Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing technical information and processing Technical Information Reports
  • Liaising with Aviation Standards and Maintenance Organisations
  • Managing computer tools used for administration of Weight and Balance
  • Performing Weight and Balance audits required by EMS procedures
  • Providing advice on changes to Ground Support Equipment and System and Technology Engineering
  • Assisting other Technical Officers with conversion of US Army safety messages and OEM service bulletins into ADF format

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Significant experience in aviation maintenance
  • Strong experience in Aircraft Weight and Balance management and regulatory requirements
  • Extensive experience in aviation maintenance
  • Strong computer literacy with an ability to produce, analyse and interpret complex reports and information
  • Training and qualifications in Aircraft Weight and Balance meeting IATA standards

About the Role:

The Technical Officer will support the potential procurement and sustainment activities for the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. The role will involve reviewing technical information, processing Technical Information Reports and liaising with Aviation Standards and Maintenance Organisations.

The team employs approximately 100,000 staff worldwide, and over 1,000 staff in Australia across multiple locations.
