Aviation professionals have a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and success of our operations. As an Aviation Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with civil and defence aviation safety regulations.

The specialist will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness of the Aviation Safety Management System across the Sustainment and Modernisation Services Operating Unit (SMS OU). This involves conducting audits and investigations, reviewing documented processes, and delivering Safety Management System training to support regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular audits and investigations to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations
  • Reviewing and updating documented processes to ensure they meet regulatory requirements
  • Delivering training sessions on Safety Management Systems to internal stakeholders and customers
