Aviation Operations Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Airport Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our airport facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of aviation industry standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of ground handling staff, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and driving a safety culture across the team. Additionally, they will investigate delays and service failures, ensure all Ground Handling Agreements are current, and manage operational coordinators and resource allocators to achieve optimal results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing GSE (Ground Support Equipment) used for operational purposes at the airport
- Ensuring the safe and secure operation of all equipment
- Following the reporting process for any equipment malfunction
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications- Prior experience managing and leading a team
- Prior experience in above and below wing operations
- Demonstrated achievements in managing, motivating, and leading teams
- Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)
- A valid driver license
- A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Senior First Aid certification
- Competence in operational requirements of Ground Handling
- Thorough understanding of the Aviation Industry
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise, and meet deadlines
