Data Center Technical Operations Specialist

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technical Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, including risk management, corrective and preventative maintenance, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Management
- Participate in a 24x7 shift roster to ensure seamless data center operations.
- Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for events managed by the Data Center Engineering Operations team.
- Work with DC managers (IT) and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Establish documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
- Review the management of routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
- Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Manage facility assets and provide infrastructure and inventory asset management.
- Attend and participate in regular Construction and Operational Meetings as required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
