Data Center Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Center Manager, you will be responsible for managing the world's largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure in India.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and contribute to the development of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and developing teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise, and ensuring the highest levels of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
- Maintain existing co-located and in-house Data Centers.
- Help build and bring online new Data Centers.
- Constantly improve all our processes and procedures.
- Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
- Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health and Safety standards in all our Data Centers.
- Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our Data Centers and utilize those metrics to drive positive changes.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large-scale services.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in DC Operations, IT Operations, or similar roles.
- 3+ years building and managing strong, successful technical teams in a similar culture.
- Incident management experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Process improvement experience.
- High degree of organization and detail-orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.
- Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product.
- Ability to consistently deliver results despite competing priorities and distractions.
- Security and Health and Safety awareness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical depth to pass at least one of our Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Developer Support Engineer skill set.
- Project management experience.
- Extensive OE and/or Agile experience.
- Capacity planning and budgetary experience.
- Experience in Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma is preferable.
- Change management and fault management experience.
