We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Operations Trainee to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Center Operations Trainee, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, including risk management, maintenance, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with On-Site Management: Collaborate with on-site management teams to ensure that all work performed by contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors is in accordance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
- Maintain Performance Benchmarks: Conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management Requests: Create and submit Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
- Contribute to Documentation: Learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
- Assist with Installation and Maintenance: Assist with the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints, and participate in routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems.
- Participate in Construction and Operational Meetings: Attend Construction and Operational Meetings as required.
- Manage Facility Assets: Assist with the management of facility assets and provision of infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.
- Interest in Data Center Operations: Strong interest in maintenance of a data center or critical space facility.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership and Organizational Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
- Facilities Management Mindset: Facilities management mindset.
- Ability to Prioritize: Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Physical Security Protocol Awareness: Physical security protocol awareness.

- Degree or Technical Qualification: Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree Cert IV and relevant experience.
- Data Center Experience: Data Center Engineering/Operations experience.
- Relevant Discipline: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
