We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Data Center Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, including risk management, maintenance, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a 24x7 shift roster to ensure the continuous operation of our data centers.
- Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices and local legislation.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for events that require DCEO attention.
- Collaborate with DC managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
- Review and manage routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
- Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Manage facility assets and provide infrastructure and inventory asset management.
- Attend and participate in regular Construction and Operational Meetings as required.
- Familiar with Work Order compliance to ensure all contractual SLAs are achieved.
- Interface with Infra Ops management for day-to-day operational requirements.
- Assist in recruiting efforts.
- Assist in the resolution of any infrastructure engineering or services issue.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
