Mechanical Colo Regional Engineer Job

We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Colo Regional Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a critical role in designing, planning, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for our global operations.

As a Mechanical Colo Regional Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with vendors to review designs for new data centers, ensuring they meet our technical standards and expectations.
  • Acting as the resident engineer during construction projects, providing support and guidance to ensure timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Troubleshooting site/equipment failures, conducting root cause analysis, and creating corrective action documentation to prevent future occurrences.
  • Providing technical support to operational teams, including ad-hoc training, procedure reviews, and event support.
  • Contributing to the design of existing data center upgrades, focusing on capacity improvements, availability enhancements, and efficiency gains.
  • Working closely with operating partners to lead, review, and approve designs for colocation data center upgrades, promoting consistency and reliability in services delivered.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety, to maintain standards and best practices.
  • Initiating and leading engineering site audits within leased or colocation data centers, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
