As a Disability Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality direct support to service users. This will involve working closely with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, and developing tailored support plans to meet those needs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with individuals with autism is highly desirable.

About the Role

  • Job Summary: Provide direct support to service users with disabilities, focusing on empowerment and independence.
  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement individualized support plans in consultation with clients and their families.
    • Provide quality direct support to service users, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
    • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
    • Contribute to the development of new programs and services that address the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Requirements:
    • 3+ years' experience in disability support or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of autism and its impact on daily life.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
