Job Title: HR and Workplace Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of HR management and workplace health and safety principles.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective governance arrangements, providing authoritative advice and expertise to management, and driving performance excellence in HR and workplace health and safety.
  • The incumbent will also be required to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with legislative frameworks governing HR management and workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement practical, efficient, and effective governance arrangements in respect to a range of HR and workplace health and safety functions.
  2. Provide authoritative advice and expertise to management on HR and workplace health and safety matters.
  3. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Ensure compliance with legislative frameworks governing HR management and workplace health and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing HR management, workplace health and safety, and workers' compensation.
  • Well-developed leadership skills, including experience in managing, coordinating, and delivering contemporary, best practice HR and workplace health and safety services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to provide authoritative advice and expertise to management.
  • Tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in HR or another relevant discipline (highly regarded).
