Principal Workplace Health and Safety Specialist

A Principal WHS Advisor is required to work within Program Support Services, part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team.
Key Details:
- $87.02 - $93.18 per hour + Super (36.25 hrs pw, PAYG)
- Berrinba QLD 4117 Office location (occasional travel within SEQ)
- ASAP start – Initial 6-month contract (poss extension)
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in strategic and operational HSW matters.
- Lead, manage and supervise a small team, fostering workplace safety and quality practices.
- Provide expert advice on HSW risk matters to key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate HSW team to develop health, safety and wellbeing strategies.
- Develop HSW systems and reporting functions to identify trends and improve performance.
- Implement HSW programs that align with the department's safety management system.
- Conduct HSW audits and inspections at depots and in the field.
