Job Title: WHS and ER ConsultantJob Description: As a WHS and ER Consultant, you will provide operational support to the business in all areas relating to Employee and Industrial Relations, Workplace Health and Safety, Performance Management, General HR administration, Remuneration Management, Succession Planning, and Recruitment and Selection. You will be responsible for seeking and providing advice to team members and management on the interpretation of modern awards, Fair Work Act, and relevant legislation. You will also develop an understanding of IR legislation changes and case law and how they may affect the business. The role will also work closely with the Senior HRBP on key HR and business projects, including providing key project support and taking ownership in administering key HR projects such as reward and recognition, bonus auditing or other activities as delegated by the Senior HRBP. Key Responsibilities include: Employee Relations expertise, Industrial Relations experience, and WHS & Rehabilitation. Employee Relations expertise includes seeking and providing advice to team members and management on the interpretation of modern awards, Fair Work Act, and relevant legislation, and developing an understanding of IR legislation changes and case law and how they may affect the business. Industrial Relations experience includes acting as the primary point of contact for all Industrial Relations matters within the workplace, liaising with employment relations jurisdictions, working closely with internal and external legal counsel, and working collaboratively and respectfully with industrial organisations and advocacy groups. WHS & Rehabilitation includes overseeing the WHS framework for AWP, proactively participating in efforts to identify risks and eliminate all forms of hazards that pose a risk to Health and safety, continually seeking opportunities to develop and improve AWP WHS processes and procedures, and being the first point of contact for all WHS items within own area of the business.Required Skills and Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, WHS or a related business discipline is essential. Minimum 2 years generalist Human Resources or relevant experience is required.
