Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support teachers in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to identify and address the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with special needs, including those with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social-emotional disabilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive learning environments and support the social-emotional well-being of students.
  • Provide professional development and training to teachers and other staff members on topics related to special education and inclusive practices.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Special Education and/or extensive special education experience.
  • Active NESA Accreditation.
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training.
