Support Worker for Mental Health

Sunflower Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing mental health support to individuals with mental disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the mental health sector, be fluent in English, and possess relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Disability and a Certificate IV in Mental Health Support or Diploma in Mental Health Support.

The successful applicant will be required to provide in-home and outdoor support, travel to clients' locations, and manage challenging behaviors in conjunction with seeking assistance from their upline.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing mental health support to individuals with mental disabilities
  • Assisting participants to access the community and develop skills
  • Managing challenging behaviors and seeking assistance when needed

Requirements:

  • English Language fluency
  • Car/Car insurance
  • Certificate III in Disability
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health Support / Diploma in Mental Health Support
  • Double Vaccinated
  • NDIS Screening
  • WWC paid
  • Police Check
  • Available immediately

This role requires a flexible schedule, including afternoon, day, evening, and night shifts. The salary range is $27.00 - $35.00 per hour.
