Mental Health Support Worker - Ashburton

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, who has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with minor and complex mental health needs.

This is an adult support worker position, involving in-home care and community access. Shifts are available on Monday or Tuesday, with times to be confirmed.

Positions may also be available in surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to individuals with mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique circumstances, needs, wants, and goals.
  • Support clients in achieving their desired outcomes.
Requirements
  • Experience and/or academic qualifications in mental health or a related field.
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a driven attitude.
  • A reliable, kind, and caring nature, with good work ethics.
  • Patience and understanding when interacting with clients.
  • Professional presentation and approach.
  • Ability to positively engage, interact, and work with people who have complex needs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental health and the issues faced by clients.
