Mental Health Support Role

About the Position

  • We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to provide support within the home involving Personal Care.
  • The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with minor and complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with minor and complex mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure high-quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Support clients to develop and maintain skills essential for daily living.

Requirements

  • Experience and/or academic or professional experience in mental health or a similar field (i.e., Psychology, Nursing, Community Services, Youth Work or Social Work).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with good work ethics.
  • Ability to remain patient and understanding when interacting with individuals who require additional support.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of mental health and the issues that are faced.
