About the Role

As a portfolio manager, you will be working closely with a Relationship Manager to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business growth. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of customers, providing tailored solutions to meet their financial needs.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in commercial banking, specifically in commercial lending and customer relationship management. You will be expected to possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Furthermore, you will need to have a thorough understanding of credit risk assessment and be able to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as KYC and AML is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the customer's business and financial needs.
  • Act in the best interest of the customer and apply a customer-centric approach to support their business needs.
  • Provide appropriate solutions towards account maintenance and customer needs.
  • Maintain a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in commercial banking frontline roles and commercial lending.
  • Ability to help manage strong customer relationships by handling service queries and solving minor issues.
  • Strong communication skills to assist customers effectively.
  • Attention to detail when reviewing agreements and contracts.
  • Ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations.
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts, particularly in credit risk.
