The role of an Assistant Relationship Manager in Business Banking is pivotal in supporting Senior Relationship Managers to deliver value to customers across regional markets.

You will play a key part in managing and growing our portfolio of business customers, while being the primary point of contact for customer relationships.

  • Work with Senior Relationship Managers to manage customer relationships within their assigned portfolio tier.
  • Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner, adhering to established service standards.
  • Collaborate with Senior Relationship Managers on administrative tasks related to customer portfolios, ensuring all documentation and customer files are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Extract and analyze complex financial reports, providing accurate assessments and insights.
  • Identify acceptable lending risks and maximize profit from transactions, in line with risk appetite guidelines.
  • Embed a risk management culture, proactively identifying and escalating risks and issues related to your responsibilities.
  • Resolve complaints in a timely manner, maintaining high service standards and mitigating further risks or losses.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively to drive a 'one team' approach and achieve customer and business objectives.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and proactive Safety and Wellbeing culture, meeting all safety and wellbeing compliance requirements.
