Professional Donor Care Specialist
Job DescriptionThe role of the Professional Donor Care Specialist is to provide exceptional care and support to donors during their visit to our donor centre. This involves greeting and interviewing potential donors, creating a positive experience for them, and ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up machines and collection equipment, inserting and removing needles safely, and monitoring donors post-donation. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others will enable you to achieve our collection targets and contribute to the success of our organisation.
Full training is provided, combining on-the-job practice with online learning. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment, working closely with experienced colleagues who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to donors.
As a Professional Donor Care Specialist, you will be required to perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, create a safe and welcoming environment for donors, and follow established procedures for collecting whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you may be required to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
