Bequest Fundraising Role Overview

This role supports the development and delivery of strategies to build a sustainable portfolio of intenders, considerers, and confirmed bequestors. The specialist will contribute to the implementation of cultivation activities designed to deepen engagement with these supporters and grow long-term revenue.

You will play a key part in the implementation of the bequest direct marketing strategy to help identify and convert leads into the Living Bequest Pipeline. This includes engaging with known donors and contributing to efforts to attract new supporters through lead generation, acquisition, and advertising activities.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and coordination of a multi-faceted, end-to-end direct marketing bequest program to help identify, acquire, and convert leads into the Living Bequest Pipeline from both known supporters and cold prospecting activities.
  • Support the management of relationships with key third-party suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaign components.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to maximize lead generation activities and conversion strategies across fundraising teams.
  • Promote the bequest program to the public by cultivating leads and awareness through advertising and promotional activities.
  • Work with the Data & Insights team to develop and use propensity models and reporting tools to evaluate direct marketing performance.

  • Demonstrated ability supporting programs to acquire customers/donors and grow support into flourishing relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and adaptability to suit different audiences.
  • Professional and approachable, with maturity and diplomacy to engage respectfully with bequest supporters, potential supporters, and donors.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills to maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Jira, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
