Job Summary:

The Field Engineer 2 is a critical role within Unisys, responsible for delivering exceptional IT support services to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products, including desktop/laptop computers, printers, and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support to clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Support hardware such as laptops, desktops, and monitors, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Install and maintain PCs, along with associated accessories and peripherals, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform installs, moves, adds, and changes as required, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.
  • Test and certify PCs to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Provide follow-up on problems, escalations, and requests, ensuring client satisfaction and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism, ensuring excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ensure incident and request tickets are updated according to the ticketing system, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Provide on-call support, responding to urgent technical issues outside of regular working hours.
  • Some travel may be required to support clients on-site.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • NV1 Security Clearance is required for this role.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Achieves and/or exceeds contracted customers' Service Level Agreements (SLAs), defined customer satisfaction ratings, and quarterly KPI goals.
  • Understanding of hardware and software support services, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic attitude, with a keen interest in developing a career in IT.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong focus on providing customer service, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
