Aged Care construction project in Canberra, ACT requires a skilled Site Supervisor/Foreman to oversee its successful delivery. We are seeking an experienced professional with a carpentry background and strong leadership skills to join our team.

As the Site Supervisor, you will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality benchmarks, and project timelines. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, and communicating effectively with the project team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and supervising all construction activities
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee excavation, structure, and finishes phases of the project
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve project objectives
  • Provide guidance and leadership to site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Monitor project progress and report to the Site Manager on a regular basis
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff, preparing them for future leadership roles

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor/Foreman delivering projects exceeding $10m
  • Carpentry background
  • Previous experience working with well-established construction companies
  • Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage excavation, structure, and finishes phases of construction projects
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Good work ethic and ability to work under pressure
