Job Title

A Performance Improvement Specialist is sought after to join our team in designing, implementing and overseeing monitoring and evaluation activities.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing a strategic approach to MEL, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, and fostering internal learning and knowledge sharing. They will also oversee the creation of MEL plans for specific initiatives, manage external consultants, and promote evidence-based decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an MEL strategy that drives organisational improvement
  • Create and oversee MEL plans for various initiatives, including disease progression prevention, active surveillance, sexual wellbeing, clinical registries, personalised cancer care, and health equity
  • Promote knowledge sharing through internal and external learning activities, iterative learning cycles, and MEL retrospectives
  • Produce annual reports on biomedical research evaluations, analysing funded projects' data and translating knowledge to the men's health sector
  • Enhance MEL policies, processes, frameworks, and tools by actively participating in MEL meetings and advocating for best practices
Requirements
  • Possess relevant qualifications in public/population health, psychology, medical research, or a related health discipline
  • Skill and experience in designing and delivering research and/or evaluation projects related to health problems
  • Skill and experience in monitoring and evaluation end-to-end project management (~10 years)
  • Skill and experience in supporting internal teams to understand and value MEL work
  • Skill and experience in using quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Skill and experience in communicating research results to various audiences
