Maternal and Child Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team on a casual basis. As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting and providing quality and effective service to pregnant, postnatal women, as well as families and children aged 0-5 years through telephone-based interaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical assessment, support, and advice to pregnant, postnatal women, and families and children aged 0-5 years via telephone.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of National Maternal and Child Health Programs and current practices, theories, and values.
- Conduct telephone-based interactions with clients, providing information and support on maternal and child health topics.
- Record and report statistical data accurately and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve service delivery goals and objectives.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with Postgraduate Maternal and Child Health qualifications.
- Highly developed telephone-based Maternal and Child Health clinical assessment, support, and advice skills.
- Extensive knowledge of National Maternal and Child Health Programs and an understanding of current practices, theories, and values.
- Advanced report writing and administrative skills to enable accurate recording of statistical data and reporting.
- Awareness of the diverse social, cultural, and religious backgrounds of children and families.
- Availability to work shifts from Monday to Sunday.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Police Check (valid within the last 3 years).
- Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain).
- Evidence of one COVID-19 vaccinations.
