We are seeking a skilled Maternal Child Health Nurse to join our team on a casual basis. As a Maternal Child Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Maternal Child Health program that meets the needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Program Delivery: Develop and implement a Maternal Child Health program that provides a family-focused, efficient, and effective service that meets all requirements as per Department of Health (DoH) MCH practice and service guidelines.
- Service Coordination: Fulfil objectives, strategies, and directive measures as stipulated by the Department of Health (DoH).
- Service Model: Deliver the sleep settling model of care as per DoH guide for MCH services.
- Group Work: Facilitate group work, including new parent groups and parent information sessions as required, such as INFANT.
- Student Placement: Support and participate in the student placement program within the Maternal and Child Health Service.
- Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 Registered nurse and midwife.
- Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications in Child Family and Community Health - Maternal Child Health Nursing.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other community and Darebin services.
- Experience: All year levels applicants encouraged to apply, including MCH graduates.
- Education: Willingness to continue education and enhance skill and knowledge base within MCH.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid Level 1, required, including ability to give adult CPR kneeling on the floor.
- Driver's License: Current Victorian driver's licence.
- Working with Children's Card: Current Working with Children's Card.
