About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join the team working on the Pregnancy, Birth and Baby Helpline.
This role is a casual position working between 4-8 hours per week. Training will be held at our Bundoora or Forest Hill office but will transition to working from home role after the successful completion of training.
Must be available to work 0700 - 2400, Monday to Sunday.
The role of the Maternal and Child Health Nurse is to promote and provide quality and effective service to pregnant, postnatal women as well as families and Children ages 0-5 years through telephone based interaction.
What we need from you?
- Registered Nurse / Midwife - with Post Graduate Maternal and Child Health qualifications
- Highly developed telephone based Maternal and Child Health clinical assessment, support and advice skills
- Extensive knowledge of National Maternal and Child Health Programs and an understanding of current practices
- Advanced report writing and administrative skills
- Awareness of the diverse social, cultural and religious backgrounds, of children and families
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
- Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of one COVID-19 vaccinations
