About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Wellbeing Navigator to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a Peer Wellbeing Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals impacted by mental illness, psychological distress, and substance use or addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intentional peer support to individuals in need
  • Offer one-on-one service navigation and care planning
  • Facilitate group peer sessions to foster a sense of community and connection
  • Develop capacity-building programs to empower individuals in their recovery journey
  • Support engagement with clinical supports to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Personal experience of mental distress and accessing and navigating health services, including mental health services
  • Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health, AOD, or tertiary qualification in social science, or 1+ year relevant work experience in a peer worker role
  • 100 points of identification
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • Drivers Licence
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check - Blue Card
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Modules – free online course
