Job Title: Bakery Customer Service Representative

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our bakery team. As a customer service representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, preparing food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a welcoming and prompt greeting of customers
  • Preparing coffee and operating ovens to warm pies
  • Setting up and closing the sandwich bar, making sandwiches to order
  • Operating cash registers and EFTPOS systems
  • Taking cake and bread orders from customers
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery
  • Slicing bread and other baked goods as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a bakery or similar takeaway customer service role
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative in achieving sales targets
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and provide consistent high-quality service
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
