Pregnancy Care Coordinator

Job Description:

This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women and their families. As a Pregnancy Connect Care Coordinator, you will serve as a key link between maternity services and the community.

You will connect vulnerable women with pregnancy care providers and oversee maternal transfers within the district. Your strong communication and problem-solving skills will enable you to engage with women who find it difficult to connect with maternity services.

Working collaboratively with a small team of maternity experts, you will contribute to ensuring the safety and quality of maternity services across the district. Regular huddle meetings, planning days, and support from the WHAM Network Coordinator and Midwifery Advisor will be part of your daily routine.

Opportunities abound for professional growth and development, including collaboration with Newcastle-based colleagues and other coordinators across the state. You will participate in monthly accountability meetings (MAMs), 90-day action plans, and rounding activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
  • Minimum of three years full-time equivalent post-midwifery qualification experience
