Job Opportunity: Pregnancy Care Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Pregnancy Care Coordinator to join our team in the northern sector of Hunter New England's Local Health District. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered midwife with experience in maternity services to advocate for women and connect them with pregnancy care providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To act as a conduit between maternity services and the community within the northern sector, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • To connect vulnerable women with pregnancy care providers and oversee maternal transfers within the district, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • To engage with women who face challenges in connecting with maternity services, providing support and guidance to facilitate access to quality care.
  • To collaborate with a diverse team of maternity experts, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to ensure safety and quality of maternity services across the district.
  • To participate in regular meetings, planning days, and receive support from the WHAM Network Coordinator and Midwifery Advisor, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of three (3) years full-time equivalent post-midwifery qualification experience.
