About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ITS Engineer to join our team at Transurban. As an ITS Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the lifecycle management and delivery of Transport Technology solutions within our NSW network of assets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mission-critical engineering specifications, designs and solutions for tunnels and open roads.
  • Investigate performance, supportability and obsolescence as well as system enhancement to ensure our roads are ready for what's next.
  • Partner with project leads and advise on governance, policy, and tender negotiations.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, both within Transurban and externally, in Australia and internationally.
  • Analyse reports, make recommendations to mitigate risks, drive growth, cut costs or improve delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technology and our own knowledge base.

About You

  • Hold a degree-qualified background with at least five years' experience in ITS engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Have hands-on understanding of ITS engineering principles.
  • Be an influential presenter and credible communicator with experience in stakeholder engagement and clear communication.
  • Balance engineering rigour with people focus, appreciating the importance and value of stakeholder engagement and clear communication.
  • Be analytical and incisive, spotting issues and using your own ingenuity – and that of your team – to solve problems collaboratively.
