Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Modelling Specialist to join our team in Sydney.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work on private and public infrastructure projects in the transport space. As a Transport Modelling Specialist, you will be responsible for developing studies to assess current and future traffic patterns, travel behaviour, and system performance using advanced modelling software.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation models into broader urban planning efforts and economic analysis. Your ability to develop and refine mathematical models to accurately represent complex transportation systems will be essential in providing actionable insights for infrastructure improvements and policy recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and managing projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Utilising advanced modelling software to simulate and analyse transportation and land use scenarios.
  • Collaborating with engineering, planning, and environmental professionals to address transportation challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Analysing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights for infrastructure improvements and policy recommendations.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, engineering, economics or other quantitative degrees.
  • Experience in the use of government models used in Queensland and NSW will be beneficial.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across multi-disciplinary teams involved in the delivery of infrastructure planning studies, technical reports, and/or business cases.
  • Previous experience and exposure to Strategic Transport Modelling for government and/or the private sector.
