Job Title: Adelaide Buildings Leader

The Adelaide Buildings team is seeking a visionary Business Leader to take the reins of our dynamic group of Engineers and Consultants.

  • Develop and implement business strategy and revenue growth plans for the Adelaide business to achieve organisational goals and agreed outcomes.
  • Lead project delivery and team performance, ensuring excellence in resourcing, utilisation, and margin management.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for winning work, growing the Adelaide Buildings team and achieving net revenue and backlog targets, with support from leaders and staff.
  • Foster collaboration across Business Centres with a focus on cross-selling nationally to consistently win new work with clients.
  • Champion a high-performance culture focused on talent, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Drive quality and timely delivery of projects that exceed client expectations.
  • Assist with business development initiatives, identifying and pursuing new project opportunities and nurturing long-term client partnerships.
  • Represent Stantec in industry forums, client presentations, and strategic meetings to enhance our market presence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Engineering qualification
  • 12 years of senior-level experience in building services in the Adelaide market
  • Proven leadership skills and a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and significant project delivery experience
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in a design consultancy environment, with a strong track record of client engagement, relationship building, and project leadership
