Job Title: Senior Broadcast Technologist

About the Role:

  • Maintain, upgrade, and respond to faults regarding studio, network, broadcast systems and transmission technology.
  • Ensure continued high-quality support and effective broadcast technology operations.
  • Provide preventative maintenance of technical equipment.
  • Assist with related hardware and software support including Zetta, Axia, Q-Sys, Broadcast Bionics, NewsBoss.
  • Assist with the design, planning and implementation of new technology and systems.
  • Ensure any additions or changes to infrastructure are documented clearly and accurately.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control on all work carried out by or on behalf of the technology operations team.
  • Be available to provide support and respond to alarms after hours as per the on-call roster.

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced experience with radio broadcasting equipment.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Strong, clear, and concise verbal and written communication.
  • The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • Audio and visual knowledge.
  • Understanding of OH&S requirements.
