About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Supervisor to lead our team on a prominent Sydney-based builder project. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable company established in the construction industry for over 20 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee on-site activities for a team of tradespeople, ensuring quality control and adherence to construction standards.
  • Take an active role in hands-on work, such as carpentry, site setup, and other related tasks.
  • Manage site safety, enforce compliance with regulations, and address potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Oversee materials ordering, deliveries, and stock management to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Liaise with site supervisors, project managers, and contractors to keep the project on track and ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Monitor project progress, report on timelines, and assist in scheduling trades to meet deadlines.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and apprentices to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Foreman in residential construction projects.
  • Strong skills in various trades, including carpentry, concreting, framing, and others.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the team and address challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Current construction white card and first aid certification (desired).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to make informed decisions.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and hands-on approach to deliver results.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum
